Early mornings have been producing solid numbers of redfish and snook, especially on moving tides. The grass flats are holding plenty of spotted sea trout, especially in 3 to 5 feet of water with good eelgrass. As the sun rises, switching to deeper edges and sand holes near the flats can keep the bite going.

Tarpon have thinned out since their peak in June, but a few remain around the river mouths and inshore channels.

Over the course of the morning, we landed a bunch more snook, putting some quality fish in the boat.
